FAQ
Questions, answered
- What is Enso FM?
- An after-hours work-order desk for maintenance and trade vendors. AI voice, SMS, and email agents answer your line, ask the intake questions you set, open a work order, notify your on-call crew, and take close-out from the field.
- Do I need to port my number or change DNS?
- No. Enso provisions a voice number, an SMS number, and an inbox. Point clients at the Enso number, or forward your existing shop line when you're ready.
- What happens on an emergency call?
- You define what counts as an emergency for your trade — active water, no heat in an occupied space, an alarm. Those skip the queue and ring the named on-call person. Everything else is scheduled by your rules. A named on-call contact is required before a line goes live.
- Does it replace my work-order system or CMMS?
- No. Enso is the desk. Completed jobs are handed to the system you already use by email, webhook, or file export, and status updates come back on a webhook. It is not a live two-way named integration.
- Is there a demo?
- No sales demo. It's self-serve — you set it up yourself. To hear it, call the live desk number shown in the header and talk to it as an after-hours client would.
- How is it priced?
- Metered by the work orders the desk handles in a month — never by doors, units, sites, or square footage. Plans start at $199/month for 100 jobs, with published fair-use pools for voice minutes and SMS segments and per-job overage beyond your plan.
- What counts as a job?
- A work order Enso handled that month — intake, dispatch, a field update, or a close-out. It's counted once per month no matter how many calls or texts it takes.
- Do my technicians need an app?
- No. Field crews use SMS and calls. There is no separate technician app.
- Are calls recorded?
- Recording is off by default. Enso still builds a text transcript for the work order. If you enable recording, you are responsible for any notice and consent required where the parties to the call are located. See the Security page.
- Which trades are supported?
- Plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, general maintenance, and fire / life safety each ship with their own intake flow, urgency rules, and emergency keywords. Shops that run more than one trade start on the general-maintenance setup.
- Can I cancel?
- Plans are month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Fees already paid are not refunded; overage accrued before cancellation remains payable.
- Are you a monitoring station, or SOC 2 certified?
- No. Enso is an after-hours desk and router with a conversation log — not an alarm central station, not the authority having jurisdiction, and not a licensed trade contractor. Data-handling practices are on the Security page.
